Sculptors since Bucknell

"Sculptors since Bucknell" is an invitational exhibition of work by ten former sculpture Graduate Assistants of Lasansky; most were Bucknell undergraduates as well. The exhibition was conceived to compliment the Lasansky exhibition. The artists: William Bennett, Peter Bevis, James Calvin, Georgia Gerber, Bruce Lindsay, Bob Marsh, Jon Riedeman, Allen C. Topolski, Eric Troffkin and Richard Zandler. The former sculpture students are active sculptors, teachers and administrators throughout the United States.

The participating artists work in a wide variety of media, including cast bronze and aluminum, carved and constructed wood, steel wire, cast resin, fiberglass and gold leaf, found objects and mixed media. Subject and style are equally varied, including work that is abstract, figurative, conceptual, formal, whimsical, participatory, and issue-oriented.

"Sculptors since Bucknell" was conceived as a companion exhibition to "Carving in Context II: Granite Carvings by Willaim Lasansky."
