This exhibition features the work of four Bucknell faculty. Tulu Bayar's photographic and sound based installations address contemporary issues specific to the human condition, often involving collaboration with those affected by the investigated issues. William Lasansky is most known for his granite sculptures. In this work, he carves low relief images and forms into rough-hewn slabs and pieces of this dense stone, creating a vocabulary with shape, texture, and subtle color. Dan Mills’ USA Future States explore US global policies, imperialism, and cartography. This series embraces recent US global actions as a form of critique, then pushes it further to fabricate a new world orderours. Rosalyn Richards investigates scientific maps charts and other visualized information, and creates highly detailed and abstract images, imaginary maps and diagrams in the form of drawings, paintings and prints.
